A Healthy Smile Begins with Healthy Gums!

To keep your smile radiant, healthy gums are a must. They’re a strong indicator of our general health: inflamed or bleeding gums can be a sign of not only inadequate dental hygiene, but also nutrient deficiencies such as vitamin C or vitamin A.

In addition to regular flossing and brushing, using a natural antimicrobial mouthwash such as Gum Gold, can help keep your gums healthy.

Gum Gold features Goldenseal and Coptis, two berberine-rich herbs that are powerful, natural antimicrobials which help to reduce and kill the bacteria that cause plaque.

Plaque buildup inflames the gums (gingivitis), causing them to bleed and recede. Left unchecked, this can can lead to periodontitis which may eventually result in loss of the teeth along with infection of underlying structures, including bone. Gum Gold is excellent for helping to halt progression of periodontal disease.

Gum Gold also contains Bayberry and Myrrh Gum, naturally astringent herbs which help to ‘tighten’ puffy, swollen gums and decrease bleeding.

In addition to its antimicrobial and astringent actions, Gum Gold increases saliva production; this helps to decrease bacterial overgrowth by ‘washing away’ bacteria before they have a chance to accumulate.

Gum Gold can be used as a daily mouthwash, diluted into a little water. For more acute problems or additional support, can be massaged directly onto the gums with a swab.
