Chamomile (Matricaria chamomillaChamomilla recutita)

This lovely, daisy-like flower is most often associated with children, as it has long-been used to help soothe upset tummies and relieve painful gas and colic.

Chamomile is a gentle, calming sedative to the nervous system and superb for both children and adults alike, helping one to sleep more restfully and feel calmer during the day. Its bitter quality also makes it an excellent digestive aid, taken either before or after eating.
