Does Artificial Food Coloring = Crushed Up Bugs?

YES, chances are that if you are eating anything that is labeled “Artificial Food Coloring” or “Color Added” on the label of a product, you are probably ingesting crushed up bugs! The FDA does not require that companies post the ingredients of what makes the colors artificial. Crushed Beetles = Red Dye. Specifically the Cochineal beetle.

This definitely isn’t going to hurt you as there are many countries that eat bugs as a delicacy, but doesn’t it stop to make you think about what you are putting in your body?
