Health Benefits of Tumeric – WOW

What is Tumeric? Tumeric is a plant that is known to be native to tropical South Asia. Most of have heard of Tumeric as a spice used in curry, and that is essentially what it is grown for. Generally the root of the plant is crushed up into a beautiful yellow-orange powder and added to food. Tumeric is a great ingredient to add flavor to our foods, but there is also thought to be many health benefits of this spice.

What Does Tumeric Help?

Helps aid in digestion
Aids in the detoxification process of the body
Soothes aching joints
Helps reduce inflammation
It is now being invested as an anti-cancer agent

Try adding a couple of teaspoons of tumeric spice to your rice, or vegetables.
