Nootropics in the News

Nootropics seem to be a bit of a buzz word these days. What are they? Simply put, they’re substances that increase our cognitive ability… things that make us smarter! (or at least help us to keep the smarts we have!)
And one of the best nootropics around is actually one that’s been used for thousands of years: Brahmi.
Brahmi, or Bacopa, is one of the top herbs from the great Ayurvedic tradition of medicine and literally means “that which gives knowledge of Supreme Reality.” It’s been shown to improve memory, mental acuity, and concentration, and can even help rejuvenate brain cells—it’s the #1 herb for cognitive disorders associated with aging!
Brahmi is also excellent for relieving anxiety. We include it in our Anxiety & Stress Essentials for helping to calm the nervous system, along with other relaxing, restorative herbs like Rhodiola, Ashwagandha, Oats, and Skullcap.
If the holidays are getting you stressed, try some Brahmi tea sweetened with a little honey. It may not give you knowledge of Supreme Reality in one cup, but it’ll help keep you calm on the journey!
Click “Share” if you know someone who could use a litle brain boost, too!
