Passion in a Flower!

Passionflower – simply one of the most gorgeous flowers of all time! Not only is its ‘other-worldly’ appearance beautiful to behold, but Passionflower also provides fantastic support for anxiety and insomnia. I find that simply looking at this amazing flower inspires a sense of awe and wonder, which are anxiety-reducing in themselves.
Passionflower has a long history of use. It has been used by indigenous peoples the world over, both medicinally and ceremonially, and a tea made from the leaves was used by Native Americans to help with insomnia and ‘hysteria.’ In fact, initial trials using Passionflower (Passiflora incarnata) have shown that it performs as well as the drug oxazepam for generalized anxiety disorder, with fewer side effects.
Passionflower is a superb herb for anxiety and stress, as well as the insomnia that commonly accompanies these. Passionflower can help to reduce the amount of time it takes to fall asleep, as well as help you stay asleep so that you get a deeper, more refreshing rest.
