Soothe Those Winter Chapped Lips & Dry Skin

Chapped lips, dry skin, and winter weather seem to go hand in hand. Cold weather outside, coupled with dry, forced heat indoors, can take a toll on your skin, hair & lips.
One of nature’s best moisturizers, “hands down,” is pure 100% Shea Butter. It’s excellent for lips, skin, and hair (yes, even your hair!). Shea Butter is a rich source of several fatty acids that readily penetrate to moisturize at a deep level, helping your skin to retain moisture and remain soft and supple, longer. It’s also rich in the antioxidant vitamin E, which helps to naturally preserve the oils in Shea Butter from rancidity, as well as protecting your skin.
The magnificent Shea tree grows in the wild, dry savannah of West Africa. As well as its cosmetic applications, the butter (oil) is also used medicinally and for cooking. Many companies now offer Certified Fair-Trade Shea Butter; this ensures that the workers who harvest the nut from the Shea tree, mostly women, receive a fair wage for their labor. This helps improve the quality of life for themselves and their families, and enables them (and their children) better access to health & education – now that’s a fair trade, don’t you agree?!
