What is Herpes?

Dosage and Directions

At onset of symptoms, 30 to 60 drops to be taken every 2 hours. After outbreak: 30 to 60 drops, taken 4 times daily.

Glycyrrhiza glabra/ Licorice (root), Lomatium dissectum/ Desert parsley (root), Melissa officinalis/ Lemon Balm (leaves), Passiflora officinalis/ Passionflower (flowers), Astralagus membranaceous/ Yellow Vetch (root), Betula alba/ Birch (bark), Gelsemium sarpe/ Yellow Jasmine (root). Water and Alcohol.

Glycyrrhiza - Eases inflammation and tissue damage in the upper digestive tract; facilitates movement of mucus from the respiratory tract; inhibits virus growth and inactivates virus particles; active against herpes simplex virus, varicella zoster virus, human immunodeficiency virus; induces interferon production in vivo and in vitro; topically antiviral for herpes simplex and shingles.

Lomatium - is an immune stimulant and has strong antiviral activity.

Melissa - Lemon balm and licorice have been shown to have activity against herpes simplex 1 and 2. Lemon Balm is also used as a demulcent for sore throats, as an expectorant in the treatment of coughs and bronchial catarrhs and for the treatment of gastric ulcers.

Passiflora - is used to treat pain, insomnia related to neurasthenia and nervous exhaustion.

Astralagus - strengthens immunity to disease. It has certain inhibiting effects on molecular pathological changes caused by viruses, increases growth of plasma cells, stimulates synthesis of antibodies, and builds up body defence.

Betula - has anti microbial properties.

Gelsemium - has pain relieving properties, lowers blood pressure, bronchodilating, decreases vagus tone with resulting increase of heart frequency, curare-like effects on the voluntary nerves, atropine like effect on the nervous system, and potentiates the analgesic effect of salicylamide and phenacetin.

Warnings

Do not use if suffering from Hypertension or cardiovascular disease; discontinue if symptoms occur including dizziness, dry mouth, or visual disturbances. Long-term use of licorice can increase blood pressure and decrease potassium levels. Not to be taken during pregnancy or lactation. Discontinue use if nausea occurs during treatment.
