It is a serious issue of the epidermis in which perspiring glands known as epidermis sweat glands becomes overactive. Because of development of unwanted perspire, the epidermis becomes too greasy, gets swollen and looks red. These circumstances may also make it look dry and scratchy and results in overall look of minor yellow-colored scales which are greasy.
The issue can happen on any part of the epidermis on the body. When it develops on the head, it is known as dandruff. Other than this, it can also happen on any other part of the body like nasal area, sides of the nasal area, on temple, eye-brows and even eye lids. Greasy skin scales start to appear and are easily relocated on the hands when scraped. Area under the breasts, near genitals, underarms, belly button and butt may also have seborrhea.
The actual cause of seborrhea is mysterious but they usually occur and enhance with anxiety and modifying levels of hormones in the body. Illness from some yeast like harmful organism can also cause seborrhea. Such disease can easily be transmitted from one person to another. Hence safety measure should be taken not to share hairdressing resources and other hair components with other individuals, as this can propagate the problem further.
It is developed in kids as cradle cap and butt. It is common in teenage years too. It can also happen in older individuals and seniors. Usually men are discovered more vulnerable to seborrhea than women.
People who experience from disease like skin psoriasis, pressure, Parkinson’s disease, AIDS may also have problems from seborrhea. People whose defense mechanisms is not working effectively and also those who reside in long lasting assisted living facilities generally experience dry skin and other types of seborrhea too.
Signs and Symptoms
This is indicated as yellow-colored flaky epidermis on any part of the body. The epidermis becomes red and swollen. It also generally happens in newborns on the head and is known as cradle cap; with due health care it may vanish in several weeks. In newborn babies it may also happen in the butt area as red scaly flakes. This is known as diaper rash. This can be cured by use of therapeutic creams and essential health care.
With growing age and changes in hormones in the bidy, youngsters also generally experience from this. In these adolescents, it produces as scaly dry flakes on head, facial beard, eye covers, belly button and also in the ear.
There are no absolute treatments for this disease, though its symptoms can be kept minimal, mitigated and cured. For uttermost issues the skin consultant may suggest crèmes like external cortical steroids and items containing sulfur. He may also suggest the use of hair shower shampoos everyday and also taking in of anti-fungal medication. The hair shampoos and gels may contain tea shrub oil or selenium sulphide. Selsun, Tegrin, T-Gel or Ionil-T usually contains these desired products.
The signs of seborrhea can go off with treatment but may happen again with time. Hence it is necessary, to workout everyday and practice good cleanliness to avoid and keep the issue from advancing or persistent. You need good food for healthy skin, physical exercise, relax and enough sunshine visibility which can help to keep the problem at bay.
