Astragalus Root Extract


Astralagus root extract is called Huang qi or “Yellow Leader” because of the yellow color roots that this perennial plant has. It is a member of the pea family that grows up to 2 feet in height. The Astralagus root is a plant with hairy stems and a sweet tasting black colored root. It is the most widely used part of the Astralagus plant. The Astralagus root extract has been used for thousands of years as an overall health tonic that strengthens the body’s qi.

The qi is considered the body’s life force and where energy flows to maintain balance and harmony of the body’s organs. It originates from ancient Chinese medicinal practice.

History and Origin
