Oregano (Origanum vulgare) is native to the warm climate regions of the Western and Southwestern parts of Europe and Asia and especially the Mediterranean region. It is related to the mint family. The Oregano is a perennial herb that grows up to 20 to 80 cm tall. It has rounded opposite leaves with beautiful purple flowers. It is also called Wild Majoram.
