Description
What is Calcium-Magnesium with Zinc and Vitamin D?
Osteoporosis is a condition that affects almost 10 million Americans. Millions are said to be affected with low bone density, which makes them candidates for broken bones and osteporosis. Two major health problems associated with aging - osteoporosis and arthritis - may may be caused in part by both a Calcium and a Magnesium deficiency - Calcium is needed to develop strong, healthy bones and teeth, and Magnesium is needed for its absorption. Calcium and magnesium balance each other in the body and are two of the most important minerals that humans need to survive. In addition to preventing and treating bone and muscle-related elements, Calcium and Magnesium can work together to treat a variety of health issues.
Calcium-Magnesium blend is an excellent formulation that provides the dietary ingredients necessary to support bone density and strength.
- Calcium and Magnesium: Calcium and Magnesium are important minerals for optimum health. Calcium and Magnesium are essential for healthy bones and teeth and are also important for maintaining muscle and nerve health. The recommended ratio of calcium to magnesium is 2:1.
- Zinc: Zinc, also an important mineral for optimal health, is a component of all body tissues, organs and body secretions. It is found in high concentrations in the retina of the eye, liver, kidneys, reproductive fluids, and the prostate gland in men. It plays a role in virtually all biochemical pathways and physiological processes. Studies indicate that Zinc is essential to bone health because it is necessary for maintenance of optimal bone density. One of the first signs of Zinc deficiency is a lost of taste and smell. The body does not manufacture Zinc, so it is necessary to obtain it from external sources.
- Vitamin D: Vitamin D helps the body absorb Calcium from the intestinal tract. This absorption is crucial to bone health and promotes bone mineralization. Without Vitamin D, bones can become thin, brittle, soft, or misshapen.
- Betaine HCl and Glutamic Acid HCl: Additionally, this formula contains Betaine HCl and Glutamic Acid HCl. These are added to help maximize the digestion of Calcium, Magnesium, and Zinc. This is especially important due to the fact that hydrochloric acid levels typically decline with age

How Calcium-Magnesium with Zinc and Vitamin D works
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the body. Supplementing with calcium helps the body in many ways. Calcium builds and maintains bones and teeth. Calcium causes muscles to contract, while magnesium helps them relax - taking the together can help minimize muscle cramping. Calcium combines with excess bile and decaying fat in the colon, to form a harmless cleansing agent. This is passed out of your body with your stool, keeping your colon clean, preventing and relieving constipation. Magnesium is responsible for over several hundred functions in the body. In people with thyroid disorders,an imbalanced Calcium Magnesium ratio is often present. Supplementing with Calcium and Magnesium can help ease symptoms associated with this condition. And finally, insomnia can be successfully treated and relieved, especially since a major factor in sleeplessness is a deficiency in Magnesium. The recommended ratio of calcium to magnesium is 2:1

While osteoporosis can not be reversable, Calcium-Magnesium may help to prevent further bone density loss, as well as osteoporosis in indivisuals not yet afflicted.

I TAKE CALCIUM W/D3 2 TIMES DAILY. IS IT OK TO TAKE 502 MG OF ZINC? I ALSO TAKE 500MG OF VITAMIN C. I HAVE TO TAKE 20 MG OF OMEPRAZOLE DAILY. IS THIS SAFE I SOMETIMES TAKE 250 MG OF MAGNESUEM 1 TIME A DAY. HOW SHOULD I DISPENSE ALL THIS AND HOW OFTENAsked on 11/7/2011 by Anonymous from rock hilll sc1 answer
Answer:
If you are on any medications (including Omeprazole), we recommend that you inform your doctor prior to using any natural remedies or supplements. We would suggest not exceeding 50 mg of zinc per day from all supplement sources, combined.
If you are already using a different calcium supplement, we would suggest not taking additional by using this supplement, to avoid taking too much. If you are not using other mineral supplements, then taking this one, along with the magnesium 250 mg that you occasionally take once daily, and 500 mg of vitamin C, should be fine. Please consult with your doctor to confirm, and to ensure that it is alright to use alongside your medication.
