I took it as recommended on the website or anytime I felt a really bad allergic reaction coming on. I have two dogs and tree that flows a pretty steady flow of pollen all over the yard in the summer days, so my allergies can become get pretty harsh with congested nose, sneezing, and itchy eyes!! After the first day or two of taking it as directed, I started noticing it did help to relieve most of the itchy eyes, sneezing and congested nose shortly after I took it, but it usually never lasted more than an hour or two in the environment I was in. It helped in the short-term and as I only have seasonal allergies that happen a few weeks out of the year I've only had to use it once so far.

What is Eyebright? (Euphrasia officinalis)
Eyebright provides a natural antihistamine-like action to ease symptoms associated with hay fever and seasonal allergies, including respiratory congestion, sinus troubles, eye irritation, and ear congestion.
This herb has a long history of use in European folk medicine. In the Middle Ages, Eyebright was believed to be beneficial for eye irritation because of the "bloodshot" appearance of its white flower petals, similar to that of a bloodshot eye. Eyebright has traditionally been used as an eyewash for styes and eyelid or conjunctival inflammation. For allergy uses, it is taken orally (either tea or tincture).
If using the alcohol-based tincture as an eyewash, boil a few ounces of water and add 2 to 3 squirts of tincture to one ounce of the boiled water, to evaporate off the alcohol. NOTE: Ensure that the liquid has completely cooled before using as an eyewash.
Eyebright can also be used to help calm environmental allergies and chemical sensitivities. It is best used continuously as a tonic for 1 to 2 months or longer, for this purpose.
